Information Security Specialist at Göteborg Energi

Your Task

In the role of Information Security Specialist, you will drive the development of our information security work.

You will actively contribute to the implementation of strategies and business plans and develop and implement activities related to security governance, risk management, security programs, and incident management. In this role, you will also work with advisory, requirements specification, and follow-up related to information security within the group. In more detail, you will:

• develop, implement, and maintain security programs
• develop and implement requirement specifications, rules, and processes
• develop information security awareness strategies and plans and conduct awareness-raising activities
• participate in and conduct risk and vulnerability analyses, information classifications, and other analyses related to information security
• drive continuous improvements and development within information security in consultation and collaboration with stakeholders
• guide, support, and provide advisory for the entire group on all matters related to information security
• follow up and evaluate compliance with frameworks, rules, procedures, and processes.

Your Competence

To succeed in this role, we believe you have a strong interest in information security issues and want the opportunity to specialize further in areas that interest you. As a person, you are curious and engaged, characterized by a strong individual drive as you enjoy making things happen. Your analytical skills and problem-solving abilities contribute to seeing multiple angles on problems and adapting to changing conditions.

In terms of experience, we are looking for someone who has:

• relevant post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in the field
• at least three years of experience in information security or IT security
• knowledge of relevant regulations and standards such as the ISO 27K family, COBIT, NIST, etc.

Certification from (ISC)2, ISACA, or IAPP is an advantage. We would be especially pleased if you have experience in implementing information security management systems, but it is not a requirement. A background in IT or security protection is also considered an advantage.

Your Team

The position is a permanent employment and is located in the Information Security, Data, and Analysis department within Development and Digitalization. The department has the overall responsibility to guide and support the information and IT security work within Göteborg Energi. The team currently consists of over 10 employees, including specialists in Information and IT Security, Risk and Continuity, IT Security Architecture, Incident Management, etc. Your manager will be our CISO, Anders Krantz.
